Lauderdale County, in cooperation with the East Central Planning and Development District (ECPDD), City of Meridian, Town of Marion, Kemper County, and other agencies and organizations in the region, is preparing a Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) to address land use and compatibility planning around NAS Meridian and Navy Outlying Landing Field Joe Williams (NOLF Joe Williams). The goal of the JLUS is to protect the viability of current and future missions at NAS Meridian while accommodating growth, sustaining the economic health of the region, and protecting public health and safety.
Lauderdale County and the ECPDD will be hosting the second series of public meetings for the NAS Meridian JLUS on Monday, February 13, 2017 and Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Please join us at one of the meetings to help in the development of this JLUS.
